REPAIR SERVICES

A selected number of our staff are qualified, via the AEMT training scheme, to carry out repairs to hazardous area motors. Our custom-built workshop houses a 5 tonne crane enabling us to handle the largest industrial equipment. Despite our focus on electric motors, we also have extensive knowledge and experience in:

• • Repair, rewind and overhaul of all types of AC and DC generators;
  • Repair of all types of pumping equipment, from fractional horsepower coolant pumps to large submersible pumps;
  • Recondition and refurbishment of all types and sizes of gearboxes.

All repairs are fitted, when availability permits, with SKF bearings.

All repair work is tested fully and a complete report is created with records logged and archived.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Our standard scope of work for motor overhauls and repairs is as follows: –

• • Collecting from site
  • Visual inspection
  • Dismantling
  • Inspecting spigots, machined surfaces and threads for wear and trueness,
  • Cleaning and stoving windings
  • Baker Testing Windings
  • Cleaning all parts
  • Fitting new bearings – Factory sourced from SKF
  • General overhaul, assemble and test.
  • Paint to our standard spec
  • Deliver back to site
