Founded in 1919, Bradford Armature Winding Co. (BAWCo) has over 100 years’ experience in industry, specialising in: electric motors; motor control gear; variable speed drives; gearboxes; pumps and transformers.

We support an extensive and diverse customer base, with vast experience across multiple sectors including: chemicals; engineering; construction; oil & gas; defence; extrusion; quarrying; aerospace, textiles and healthcare.

Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, we deliver a close, personal but effective approach in our work, offering bespoke solutions to suit the specific requirements of our customers. From our headquarters in Bradford, West Yorkshire, we are well placed to distribute our products and services across the UK.

Our facilities hold extensive stocks of electric motors, primarily Brook Crompton, at our in custom-built workshop in West Yorkshire, affording immediate access to low voltage motors, up to 400kW, and a variety of 3.3kV motors. BAWCo is a distributor of Leroy Somer, Nord and SEW Eurodrive geared products and Sacemi, Lowara and Grundfos pumps. Additionally, we manufacture a range of transformers and chokes to meet customer specifications and offer a repair service to suit.
